As my Youtube channel is still very new, many formatting has yet to be done so bear with me... I will slowly revamp my channel :)

My Current FAV Mascaras

Hi Babes, sorry for the lack of updates...

X'mas weekend was crazy yet fun for me:
- Had a wonderful time over at Swissotel (thanks to the bf's cousin) during X'mas eve.
- A great chilling out session over at Chjimes with my lovely peeps.
- Spent Christmas with bf's family at Amara for high tea (with a hangover... ops!)
- And a boxing day celebrating my cousin's wedding.. was up since 5am!

Then I developed fever on Monday night.. feeling nauseous and all..
Anyway, I'm better and I hope the weekend was great for you all as well :)

So here's just a little update from me.. My current favourite mascaras!

I have used many brands and types of mascara and frankly, I haven't been very impressed, especially with what was "claimed" to be achievable. Usually, I don't experience those lengthening or thickening effect.

I also don't prefer those with primer because I find them difficult to apply and again, of not much help...

....until I tried this:

It's the Maybelline's the Magnum Volum' Express mascara.
Effective and I like it :)

Usually I will put 3 coats of the mascara. No clumping and easy to apply.
Because I don't wear mascara to campus on a daily basis, some of my friends would thought that I have fake lashes on when I do put on the mascara!
So, I'm pretty sure the mascara has done its job!

I've just finish using this bottle of mascara and I've move on to use the Covergirl Lashblast Volume (waterproof).
This is the mascara that many have raved about on youtube, so I got my sis to get it for me from USA. It is in no. 825 (very black).

And I'm loving it too!
I would say 2 coats of this is enough to satisfy me :)

If you can get hold of it.. Do try it girls!
Too bad Singapore doesn't carry Covergirl products...

Covergirl has this mascara in the non-waterproof and waterproof versions. In hot and humid weather like Singapore, I do suggest you get the waterproof ones, so make sure you place the right orders!

Well, that's about all...
Gonna take my medicine & make some speedy recovery before the New Year celebrations!

Kudos to all the Beauty Gurus with their blogs & Youtube videos!

Just some thoughts... :)

Ever since I started my own blog... I realized there are some much work behind the "scene"!

Editing the pictures, making sure the colour is as true as the actual product (especially when it comes to makeup), proper lighting etc etc! Now I truly understand how blogging can become a full-time job!

Really not easy.
I tried taking a makeup tutorial (video) yesterday and *WOW*.. I don't denied it was real hard!
Getting the correct angle, trying hard to stay in frame, retakes and lots more.. eg. suddenly a single strand of your eyebrow hair just refuse to stay in place!! Argh...

I'm impressed by how most youtube makeup gurus make the videos look so simple!

KUDOs KUDOs KUDOs... to all the Beauty Gurus with their amazing blogs & wonderful Youtube videos!

PS: I'm still in the midst of editing the video I took.. Pushing on.. *wink*
Shall post it up soon!

White Dog Cafe @ *Scape

Spent a Saturday night @ *Scape with the bf...

He suggested going there & I was excited because we haven't been there before. I was secretly happy that the bf was sooo thoughtful to bring me to some place new... BUT later he told me he was actually there to check out a camera @.@ (my bf is a photography fanatic)

Nevertheless, I'm still glad that we went there... :)

Dinner was @ White Dog Cafe.

Quiet and peaceful place to dine in on a saturday night. What caught my attention was their simple and cute layout. Cutesy doggie logo too!

First served was water:
Isn't it interesting?

Food serving was surprisely large!
And yummy too!

We ordered the above platter, Cream of Mushroom, Chicken Chop and Aglio Olio.

For those who are health-conscious, you can rest assure and take big bites of the food here. At least for someone like me who is afraid of oily stuff, I think the dishes are cooked with just the right amount of oil and they don't leave a greasy aftertaste.
No guilt after stuffing myself with the fried goodies and olive oil-mixed pasta!! :)
By the way, I refer oily stuff to those where I can see excess oil dripping, oozing out or swirling around the plate! >.<
Frankly, I'm pretty health-conscious but don't get me wrong, I DO LOVE fried food! I just take some extra care when choosing the type of fried food I buy :)

Succulent mushroom!

Anyway back to White Dog Cafe, do go and have a try! The prices are reasonable and we will definitely go back!

Happy boy & girl
My sis went to the branch @ Vivo and she said it was a little noisier there because of the crowd. So you might want to take this into consideration when deciding which branch to go to.

Hope this can tingle your taste buds on a BLUE monday (if you are having one)!

Another Christmas Deal!

Probably many of you already knew...
but I'm still gonna share this with that someone who is still missing a X'mas gift or is wishing for a good skincare product!

It is ZA Stardust Wonderland Limited Edition Christmas Collection:

What's inside
My dearest sis, who is also of fan of ZA, told me of this deal and asked me to grab it quick before it is gone!
Initially I wasn't keen because I've spent a lot on clothing this month. However, when I saw the deal in Watsons, I simply CANNOT RESIST!

My sis got this:
Sorry I don't have the actual products.. My sis wasn't home!

There are a few more sets which you can choose from but I'm afraid not all Watsons outlets carry all sets. You may want to try the branch in Takashimaya because I got mine from there.

The best part is, the whole set is only SGD 33.50!

I chose the one with whitening products -ZA's TRUE WHITE series. I never try any of these products but I think ZA products are always worth the try!

Anyway, Sis & I swear by their 2-way foundation. We have been using them for years (previously we were using the NOW EDITION). The powder goes on smoothly on the skin, provides enough coverage and remains matt for a long time. :)

For the Skin Beauty Two-way Foundation, there are 8 shades to choose from and I'm using shade 23. My sis is fairer than me and she uses shade 22.

Yup, I'm probably thinking too much about Christmas..
but don't be mistaken, I'm not going to talk about santa and elf/ elves today... :)

I'm actually refering to e.l.f. eyes lips face!

Eye makeup completed using e.l.f. Essential Duo Eyeshadow (in Blueberry).

I wore this look pretty often when I just bought the eyeshadow from local SaSa store.
And I like to pair the look with grey coloured contact lenses. I was wearing Dueba DM23 in the pictures.

So sorry babes.. I forgot where I actually bought this pair of lenses, but I will be posting links to some online stores for coloured lenses in my next few entries..
Keep a lookout for that if you are interested!
I used the lighter blue for the inner halves of my upper lid and lower lash line.
For the darker blue, I used it for the outer halves of my upper lid and lower lash line.
I piled on more of the darker blue on my crease and outer-V for more depth to my eyes.
It's as simple as that!

Of course, I lined my eyes with black liner and put on black mascara. Also, I highlighted my brow bone with a shimmery white eyeshadow to compliment the matt e.l.f. eyeshadows.

If you want a tutorial on the look above, comment below and I'll do it!

Yup, the colours turned out to be pretty greyish! So, here are the swatches for you:

I don't find the colours very pigmented but should do better with a white creamy base like NYX jumbo pencil in milk. The above colours were achieved after a few swaps on my hand.

I also bought their Duo Eyeshadow Cream in Coffee & Cream. This was the first eyeshadow cream that I own and I was planning to use them as bases, hence I chose one with a very dark colour (brown) and light colour (cream white).
Coffee & Cream
Hmm.. I must say I don't really like the cream shadows.
I have tried them a few times (as bases and setting them with powder eyeshadows), but I usually experience creasing.
Things seem better when I apply only a very thin layer of the cream shadows.

The Cream shadow has gold speckles in it and is very shimmery. Useful as a highlight and when I need to create looks for my dance competitions or performances. So I might still continue using it.

However, for the Coffee shadow, it simply "runs" too much and my makeup is always smudged by the end of the day (sometimes, in just a few hours)!
Should I even try using it as a eyeliner?

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading...

Want some bling?

vBlinged my camera a while ago and here's how it looks like now!
Courtesy of bf's DSLR, n of course the bf! :)
I crystallized my camera fully with swarovski crystals and I actually did it for a reason!

Well, my camera fell onto the floor real hard and the edges were scratched. Being a perfectionist (I'm a Virgo!), I decided to bling it to cover up the scratches!
My friends usually go: "Wah, you camera very bling eh!" whenever I take out my camera.
Compliment?? I take it that it is!! Haha!

It's a gift from bf during last X'mas and this is how it looks like originally :)
Excuse the pouting!
Happy 2009 X'mas!

Recently, a friend has asked me to help her bling her toy camera...
I shall show you the outcome once it is done!
