FOTD and Hotel viewing!

Hey Babes, I'm engaged!
And my fiance and I are going around Singapore to look at potential hotels for our wedding banquet.

The feeling of excitement is simply indescribable.
Even though there are tonnes of things to survey on and arrange for, I'm glad we both are taking the preparation positively!
Nonetheless, being the female, I'm always the one who is always worrying and gets panicky over the things undone...

Okie dokies.. enough about the wedding preps...
Here's my face-of-the-day!
I used the Wet N Wild "Greed" palette to achieve this look.

Here are some pictures taken at the hotel! :D

For solemnization
And of course, a picture of us!

Sleek from LUXOLA

I've tweeted about my excitement on receiving my newly-bought palettes & I'm here to share some pictures with you!

The orders from LUXOLA came in a nice and sweet pink paper bag and the contents are nicely packed in a transparent bag.
And OH, it was personally delivered to me by their very own staff!

I got two palettes - one for my Sis (as an early X'mas present) and one for me-self!

Sis's! She was so happy to received it! :D
I was very delighted by the service from LUXOLA because I placed my orders in the morning (about 10am) and they called me in the afternoon (at about 1++ pm) to ask if they could possibly deliver the items to me on the same day!
This is because they happen to be delivering some orders around my area that day.....
It was just great!

As expected, the colours on the palettes are very pigmented, which is really fantastic!
But I have to say that for the shimmery colours (especially from the ORIGINAL palette), I would advise the use of your fingers or sponge applicators for easy application.
I find that I get a lot of fallouts when I use a brush and that the eyeshadow won't really go onto my lids.

I was a little surprised by the size of each eyeshadows because from all the pictures I've seen so far online, they all seemed pretty big!
So here's a rough guide of the actual size of each eyeshadow :)

Alrighty, that's all for now!

Nails for the Bride & Bridesmaids

As promised, here are the photos of the nails done by me for my cousin's wedding!

Bride's nails:
She opted for something in gold.. Yet not too over-the-top...
Glad that she was very happy with it!
The set was completed by half-tip acrylic extensions.

Bridesmaid's nails:
Something girlish with pinks and some blings...
This was done with gel extensions on her natural nails.

My Sister (also a bridesmaid) wanted something simple for her short nails.
I came up with this cute design to make her nails look slightly elongated.

What do you think?
Our Nails for the day!! Wee!
Hope you enjoyed!

My Current Fav Liner! - Bobbi Brown VS MAC

It's been almost a month since my last update!

I have been busy with a dance production and rehearsals had taken up most of my time!
So glad that it was finally over and it went well :D
I shall post some pics in a later post!

Alrighty back to beauty-related stuff...
I have finally opened my Bobbi Brown Gel Liner which I have bought like a year ago (I'm a great keeper of the things I've bought -I don't usually use them immediately)...
My brand new FAV!

It's sooooo creamy and easy to apply...
And needless to say, it stayed all day long!

Compared to the MAC's Fluidline which I have been using so far, I think I prefer the Bobbi Brown one..
MAC's Fluidline dries up pretty quickly and the formula is really not as creamy and smooth as Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Liner.

MAC's Fluidline

Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Liner
Well, no doubt Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Liner is a little pricey as compared to the MAC's Fluidline, I think it's worth it because you can use it for a very long time!

For me, a 3g bottle last me for about 2 years!
And I'm not kidding... Of course I don't use it on a daily basis but I used it at least 4 times a week.

Hope this is helpful to you!
AND thanks for reading Babes!

OLAY for October!

Hey babes!

I wanna share some new products I’ve bought for the month of October :D

Both are from OLAY, so let’s get on with it!

I have just used up my day and night cream recently (both from Neutrogena) and I decided to try the new line of products from OLAY.
Main reason being...
I NEED something with ANTI-AGING properties and OLAY is well-known for their anti-aging products!!
(Time to get on with such products because I’m just 3 years away from reaching the big 30!)

This is the Day Cream I chose:
Normal formula without SPF 15
I also got the Gentle formula with SPF 15 (fragrance free), but somehow my skin is not reacting well to it. My guess is that the sunscreen composition ain't suitable for my skin?

Anyway, here are the key ingredients if you are interested:
Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Ageing Cream (Normal)

Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Ageing Cream (Gentle with SPF 15)

The Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Ageing Cream claims to fight 7 signs of ageing:
• Fights fine lines and wrinkles
• Reduces appearance of blotches and dark spots
• Moisturizes dry and rough skin
• Makes dark skin visibly fairer
• Improves surface dullness for radiant and glowing skin
• Minimizes appearance of pores
• Makes skin texture visibly firmer

My take on the Normal formula (without SPF) is that
it's great as a day cream and provides enough moisture to my skin throughout the day (even in air-conditioned room).

Another great thing is,
I observed that my skin clears up after using it for a day, especially since my skin was suffering from some dry blotches and allergy reactions before that.

How about radiant and glowing skin?
Hmm, I think it did great too! With it, I only need a little touch of powder foundation and I'm ready to go...

As for minimization of pores, I can't say much because I don't have large or visible pores to begin with...
SO let me know what you think if you have tired it out!
(BTW, I have combination skin, which tends to be on the drier side)

As for the Gentle formula with SPF, it's just not for me.
Alrighty, let's move on to the Night Cream:
White Radiance Night Whitening Cream
I'm very happy with this product!

Here are the key ingredients:

It claims to quietly reveal the fairness of inner skin in 3 steps:
• Revitalizes – Vitamin B3 provides cellular energy for skin to enhance skin’s renewal process.
• Works – Olay Whitening complex (Vitamin B3, Mulberry Extracts, Vitamin C) that actively reduces spots and evens out skin tone while you sleep.
• Nourishes – Multiple vitamins and rich moisturizing mixture to efficiently achieve better texture, clarity and glowing radiance for your skin.

Generally, I do feel great using it and it's really nourishing.
It has a creamy consistency but doesn't feel sticky on the face after application :D

Oh, I almost forgot about the prices!
All products are now available in Watsons and Guardian.

Total Effects 7-In-1 Anti-Ageing Cream: SGD 26.50 (now on offer: SGD 17.90!!)
White Radiance Night Whitening Cream: SGD 39.90

For somebody of my age, I think these products are definitely worth the buy and definitely affordable.

Do try them out and let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading!

Purple Cosmetic Day!

Today I'm feeling all so purple...

Decided to put on a purple eyeshadow, together with a bright purple liner...

And to try out a new Covergirl mascara
(which has a purplish blue packaging! -I'm definitely not a fan of blue but I'm so loving this colour!)

The Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer is in the colour Purple Shock and I got my buddy in USA to get it for me. :D
Unfortunately I don't find this colour in the stores in Singapore...

But if you are interested in getting one, let me know!
Budz sent me two of them and I have only used one :D

Here's a swatch of it:
Top line: Smudged out colour
Bottom line: Drawn directly (I use it this way near my upper lashline!)

I've got compliments when I wore this for dance practice today!
Guess the purple works!

The Covergirl Mascara is the lashblastfushion in Very Black (860), which was given to me as a gift! :D

This mascara is known for creating volume + length mascara.
It has a fiberstretch formula which make every little lash bigger, fuller, longer-looking, and more dramatic.

I love Covergirl's oversized brush which really helps to get every single strand of my eyelashes get coated.
My friend even though that I went for eyelash extension when I only had this mascara on!!!

This mascara is also available in a water-resistant formula, which unfortunately mine isn't. So at the moment, I'm still more in love with my waterproof Covergirl Lashblast (see review here) than this Lashblastfusion.
(I definitely prefer waterproof mascara!)

Alrighty, so that's all for my purple-licious day!
Hope you enjoyed reading...
