DIY: Flaky Scalp Home Remedy

Are you a "victim" of DRY, FLAKY scalp???

Fret not!!!
I found a simple home remedy that works!

Before we go into the DIY remedy, let's look at what causes dry, flaky scalp.

Dry, flaky scalp can be caused by many, many factors.
It could be your diet, climate, your lifestyle or even the products you use!

Hot shower baths are also known to cause dry scalp, especially if you have the habit of using hot water directly to wash your hair! :S
It is best to use LUKEWARM water to wash your hair, skin and particularly your face.

Also, dry, flaky scalp could occur when the glands on your scalp are clogged up. This will not only make the skin on the scalp dry and flaky, you may even feel itchness.

So, it is important for you to keep a lookout on what causes your unhealthy scalp.

I suffer from flaky scalp too and I usually get them...
  • After a few consecutive swims.
  • When my hair ain't dry enough before I go to bed.
  • The day after my dance competition because I would pile on lots of gels and hairsprays to keep my hair in place throughout the competition!

Other than that, most of my days are "ALL-CLEAR" days :)

So here's what I need:
You may want to use a spray bottle rather than a pail for easy application.

I'm using lime juice bought off the shelf from the supermarket. Almost pure lime juice without any sugar... Undrinkable straight from the bottle! >.<

STEP 1:
Pour out approximately 1 part of the lime juice.
You can use lemon juice or apple cider vinegar as well.
(WARNING: Apple cider vinegar WON'T smell very niiiccceeeee...)

STEP 2:
Add 2 or 3 parts of normal tap water. Mix it well.

STEP 3:
Wash your hair with your daily shampoo and rinse off with water.

STEP 4:
Pour the diluted lime juice on the affected areas, then all over your scalp.
Leave for approximately 10 minutes before rinsing everything off.
And there you go!
If you condition is pretty severe, you may want repeat these procedures for a few days before the flakeness clears up.

Alrighty, hope this helps!!!

Oh oh, remember to include lots of fruits and green vegetables in your diet. Vitamins A, B, C and E found in them are necessary for healthy skin and scalp! :D

Hearts,
Nat
